Grand Central Commuters & Breaks Through the Gin Taste Barrier
To launch its “Taste Like it’s Friday” campaign, Bombay Sapphire created the Bombay Sapphire Sparkling Lemon Lounge — a premium lounge experience where rushing commuters could disconnect from the hustle of their daily routine and unwind with a refreshing, gin cocktail sample, giveaways, music, and more.
To shift the perception of gin in the U.S., TEAM had to intercept new gin drinkers and break the gin taste barriers by introducing the delicious, citrus-forward Bombay Sapphire Sparkling Lemon.
A 40 x 40 premium lounge footprint was created in Vanderbilt Hall featuring a stunning jewel entryway, bottle displays, gallery walls, and custom jewel-shaped bar that served samples of the Bombay Sapphire Sparkling Lemon. The two-day activation featured engagement touchpoints including a TouchTunes jukebox, a tote bag giveaway station, and a custom “Taste Like it's Friday” photo op.
The Sparkling Lemon Lounge created a first-class experience where commuters could escape their daily commuting routine and wait for their departure in style — all while enjoying a Bombay Sapphire Sparkling Lemon.
